"A mind once stretched by a new idea, never goes back to its original dimensions” – Oliver Wendall Holmes

Our next retreats will be held in
Coleg Trefeca College, Brecon

March 31st - 2nd April 2017

Our next ‘Love & Forgiveness’ retreat will be held at Trefeca College in the Beacon Beacons National Park from Friday 31st March to 2n to Sunday 2nd April.

This retreat will address the first 5 Steps of the AA Recovery programme and concentrate on the Law of Attraction and our ability to create our own Heaven or Hell.

All we require is our ability to think things into being. Everything that has been invented and created throughout history of humankind began with one thought. From that one thought a way was made, and it manifested from the invisible into the visible. “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968).

“This has been a very difficult year for many, and with the mindset of recession and austerity measures, there are many pressures on all of us to try and make ends meet financially and of course emotionally. I am looking forward to this weekend to spend time with like minded people in recovery to get my soul fed and heal further from the many wounds that I become aware of as time goes on. This is not all – we forget that not only are there defects of character but our assets and good features often elude us and that is becoming a firm focus of mine now – to deal with my defects for sure – but to look at my strengths and get some perspective and joy back into my life – even when contrary to the current circumstances!”

Has your life been directly or indirectly affected by addiction? If so this weekend retreat is for you – it will be centred around the 12 step recovery program and key principles of love and forgiveness – we believe that a life characterised by these profound ways of living will equip us to live a life of not only being “sober”, “clean” or “abstinent” but developing a way of living that will emotionally equip you to deal with whatever life throws at you.

It is about you not putting things off any longer but finding a power greater than yourself to help you live an abundant life that is not scripted by your family, environment, peer group or anybody else that controls you. It’s about “feeling the feelings” because all addiction is caused by suppression of feelings. If we can learn how to Feel our emotions rather than fear them, ALL addictions and recovery programmes would literally cease to exist. In essence, it’s about learning how to embrace the dark side of our psyche.

At this retreat you will:
1. Learn about the 12 step programme of recovery;
2. Break through the fears that hold you back (including unconscious fears);
3. Learn how to “love the cancer within” and embrace the dark side of our psyche;
4. Boost your self-esteem;
5. Learn how to forgive and heal the wounds of the past;
6. Improve your communication skills.
